Runway, the creator of a web-based video editor powered by machine learning, has announced the launch of Runway Studios, an entertainment and production division of the company that serves as a platform and production partner for the upcoming generation of storytellers.
"Storytelling is once more at an inflection point. One where new technologies and techniques are making it so that anyone, anywhere, with anything to say, can finally say it," Runway says.
According to the company, Runway Studios aims to collaborate with filmmakers from all around the world, including those who create feature films and work on documentaries, and assist them in sharing their stories. Along with that, the studio will also aid music video makers in bringing out the creative potential of AI in music videos.
Apart from production, Runway Studios will operate several programs aimed at uplifting and empowering filmmakers from all around the globe, including providing creative grants and running an AI film festival.
