That's according to industry insider Tom Henderson.
In a recent report published on Try Hard Guides, journalist and game insider Tom Henderson claimed that Sony is currently working on a "Pro" controller line for the PlayStation 5. Citing his own sources, Henderson states that the new device codenamed "Hunt" is set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The new controller will reportedly retain the same "classic PlayStation 5" style, although it will add some new key features like removable analog sticks, trigger stops, and rear paddles (which Henderson refers to as "flappy paddles" which are presumably similar to those seen on the back of some premium controllers).
The buttons under the analog sticks are said to allow users to "completely remove the analog sticks and their components" which could mean that they could be replaced with other sticks.
The insider said that he was shown images of an alleged prototype of the new controller that, as he claims, will also include a significant software update. He also noted that his source referred to Sony's new device as the "PS5 Pro Controller" in casual conversation, although it is not clear whether it will be its official name.
Henderson concluded the report by claiming that Sony is set to reveal some new hardware (but not a console) at the end of June, although it is not clear whether the company will unveil this new "Pro" controller line during this presentation.
