Cycu1, a well-known YouTuber specializing in video game analysis, recently uploaded a detailed video examining the graphics differences between the release version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and its debut gameplay trailer, which was unveiled in May 2023. The video provides a comprehensive comparison, highlighting specific scenes where notable changes, especially in regard to lighting, can be observed within the game.

The developers of Spider-Man 2 achieved a balance in contrast to the game's final version. In a particular scene from the trailer, it was nearly impossible to discern Peter Parker while under the symbiote's influence. However, in the released version, his appearance became slightly more discernible.

In one of the cutscenes featured in the trailer, Parker was shown in the frame before being engulfed by the symbiote. However, this particular sequence does not occur in the released version of the game. Additionally, the developers made alterations to the lighting in the Lizard Chase segment.

Insomniac Games enhanced the water behavior in the final version of Spider-Man 2, specifically focusing on improving the visualization of splashes. This was in response to feedback received after the gameplay was initially showcased. The comparison between the two versions revealed that the size of the splashes was reduced while the level of detail was increased.
