Steam has hit a new record of concurrent users with over 30 million people visiting the service this weekend.
According to Steam's own charts, on October 23, 30,018,654 users were online on the platform at the same time, while the figure provided by SteamDB data is even higher – 30,032,005 users. SteamDB's report also noted that 8.5 million out of these 30 million users were in-game.
As reported by PC Gamer, Steam has started to grow rapidly in recent years – it took the platform about 14 years to reach the concurrent user peak of 15 million, while the next 15 million users were reached only in five years.
The previous milestone of concurrent users in Steam was reported in November last year – at the time, SteamDB charts revealed that the platform reached over 27 million people visiting the platform at the same time.
