Substance 3D Modeler 1.17 Released
This update brings further UI and workflow improvements to primitives.
Substance 3D
Substance 3D Modeler 1.17 is the latest stable version of the software, as there was no version 1.16. It introduces some UI improvements to the primitives workflow and a collection of general quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes.
Officially introduced in Substance 3D Modeler 1.15, primitives offer a new non-destructive workflow that allows you to use highly customizable shapes to create complex geometry. Primitives can also be converted to clay and sculpted with all of the Modeler tools you're already comfortable with.
Since they are typically the more important parameters, the Width and Depth sliders have been moved to the top of the Combine mode settings when available. Additionally, their default values have been adjusted to non-zero values, making it easier to visualize the results of different combine modes immediately upon selection. Also, in version 1.17, pasted and duplicated primitives are now placed after the lowest selected object in the hierarchy.
