Introducing a new Auto Tiling filter to generate tileable textures, a new Fold Remover filter, the ability to flatten layers, and more.
Substance 3D Sampler 5.1, the latest update to Adobe's software for turning real-world materials into digital assets, brings several updates, with the Auto Tiling filter as the key highlight. This new filter is designed specifically for images and materials with a clear, repetitive structure.
Unlike the Make it Tile or Tiling filters, Auto Tiling focuses on isolating the smallest area of the material that can be made to tile. It's especially useful for textiles.
With an improved Equalize filter that reduces color bleeding on non-grayscale texture channels, Clone Stamp filter enhanced with a new blending algorithm, and a new automatic fold removal feature for fabrics, achieving clean and accurate scans is now faster and easier, even with complex materials. Also, the new Flatten layer boosts performance by converting stacked layer results into a single set of maps within one unified layer.
Sampler 5.1 also adds Roughness map generation and automatic physical size detection in Studio mode, allowing you to create even more detailed and accurate digital twins of your materials with HP Z Captis, originally introduced in Substance 3D Sampler 5.0.
