The Chaotic Backstage of 3D Animation

Stretching limbs, objects appearing out of nowhere, the whole shebang.

3DCG Artist known as Movie Study Lab continues their series of funny and adorable animations dedicated to the adventures of Mel, the creator's anime-style OC, presenting a new adorable sequence and sharing an exclusive look at its chaotic backstage.

This time, the author employed Autodesk Maya to depict Mel rushing out of the house so as not to be late, with the animation boasting incredible fluidity, tons of eye-catching details, and, of course, the signature cuteness Movie Study Lab's works are known for.

As always, the behind-the-scenes look at the project shared by the artist is no less interesting than the final product, demonstrating a variety of intentional artifacts usually hidden behind the camera, such as Mel's stretching limbs, her bag appearing out of nowhere, and more:

Also, check out the author's previous behind-the-scenes demo, featuring gliding Mel and some gravity-defying floating plates:

As I've already mentioned, this is not the first of Movie Study Lab's animations featuring Mel. Attached below are some of the earlier projects shared by the author, we highly encourage you to visit Movie Study Lab's Twitter page to see more adorable pieces:
