The original game, The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, released in 1996 by Bethesda, suffers from numerous issues and is extremely hard to play by today's standards. Daggerfall Unity addresses these problems by completely porting the entire game into Unity. The creators have also implemented a wealth of visual and gameplay improvements.

The enhancements include an improved interface, modern controls, and a major graphics overhaul. The creators have added ultra-widescreen support, new effects, remastered character and environment sprites, and resolved almost all original game bugs. Moreover, Daggerfall Unity is mod-friendly, fostering a vibrant modding community.
To play the game, you'll need a free copy of the original game from Steam and Daggerfall Unity from Github.
