Yesterday, YouTube released the first episode of its new Like & Describe podcast series, a series hosted by Game Theory's MatPat that aims to provide an overview of the website's biggest trends, both current and those of the past, and share some never-before-heard insights from creators and experts in the field.
Tilted "The Rise of the VTubers", the first episode explores the widespread community of VTubers, explaining how a niche Japanese trend led to an explosion of animated YouTubers worldwide. What's more, VTubers Gawr Gura and Mori Calliope joined the podcast to share their thoughts on the matter.
