Netflix revealed that the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender will be released in February 2024. The debut teaser for the show was shared during the Netflix Geeked Week event, which takes place from November 6th to 12th.
A two-minute video provides a look at the main and supporting characters, plus showcases the antagonists. The upcoming live-action series is based on the animated show of the same name, created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008.
The show will include Gordon Cormier leading the series as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko, Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh.
The first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender, consisting of eight episodes, will be released on February 22, 2024.
