The New Version of Crocotile 3D Lets You Scale UVs With a Mouse
It also adds a novel "Pack" action to the UVs panel and introduces keybindings for selecting specific tabs.
Developer Alex Hanson-White has announced the release of Crocotile 3D 2.2.4, a new and improved version of the tile-based 3D modeling application that lets you build low poly 3D models and scenes with 2D pixel-art textures.
The highlight of the update is the novel Scale mode that allows the user to scale UV coordinates by holding Shift+Alt and using the mouse. According to the developer, the scaling of the UVs will be relative to the crosshair position. Moreover, the release also adds a new "Pack" action to the UVs panel to organize the selected UVs within the tileset bounds and introduces keybindings for selecting specific tabs in the side panel.
The update also introduces some improvements and fixes, including:
- Subdivide panel inputs can now be adjusted with mousewheel/arrow keys.
- The bug that led to the failure when importing .obj models without a .mtl file has been fixed.
- Fixed the issue that caused the Gizmo to not always reposition itself when "Deselect when single clicking" is enabled.
- Fixed the issue that caused the "Properties" section in the Transform panel to not apply position or rotation to objects.
