Valve has confirmed that it is not interested in creating exclusive games for its upcoming handheld.
Valve has finally answered the question that troubled many gamers all across the globe ever since Steam Deck was announced. According to an updated Steam Deck FAQ page, Valve's upcoming handheld will not have any exclusive games because the company doesn't think that it is necessary. When asked about whether the platform is going to have any exclusives, Valve's response was: "No, that doesn't make much sense to us. It's a PC and it should just play games like a PC."
In November, Valve announced that the Steam Deck's launch was to be delayed. The first units of the handheld are now scheduled to be shipped in February 2022. The reasons behind this delay are the global supply chain issues and material shortages, a problem that has already affected game consoles. But nonetheless, by the end of winter, Steam Deck is promised to become available.
