These Pixelated Paintings are Created by a Neural Network

Check out the collection of neurally-generated pixel art created by Aleksey Tikhonov.

A Lead Data Analyst from Russia Aleksey Tikhonov a.k.a. Altsoph has created a cool neural network that is able to generate pixel art. What separates this particular network from similar ones is its ability to somewhat animate the generated pictures, making them look like short pixelated cartoons. Tikhonov has shared some of the neurally-generated "cartoons" via Twitter.

This is not the only Altsoph's project that uses neural networks. On the author's website, you can find a neural network-powered bot to detect animals in online streams from nature parks, a music minialbum with the neural network generated lyrics trained to resemble the style of Kurt Cobain, and even a neurally-generated book! So if you are into this topic, definitely check Tikhonov's website out.
