This Cool App for Adding 3D Models to Videos is Nearing Its Release

Can you guess which objects on the table aren't real?

In late 2023, the internet was set ablaze by Divesh Naidoo, a Developer and AR/VR enthusiast, as he unveiled the capabilities of Simulon, an upcoming application set to make cinematic-quality VFX accessible to all creators. Through a series of demo showcases, the developer offered a look at Simulon's remarkable ability to insert 3D objects into real-life video footage in a manner so seamless that it was, at times, nearly impossible to understand which objects weren't real.

Recently, Divesh has once again taken to social media to share some exciting news about Simulon. Describing the upcoming application as "the most powerful, robust, and intuitive VFX workflow available", the developer announced that Simulon will be made available to a select group of individuals later this week, presumably in an effort to test out and refine the software before its official release, slated for early 2025.

"Crafting interactions between real and virtual objects is hard with traditional workflows," commented Divesh. "A live on-device preview + perfect animation/record sync make it possible to create shots like the one below in a single take. In phase 1, creators will be able to react to digital assets, and in phase 2 the digital assets will react to you."

Moreover, the creator also shared a cool new demo depicting a table cluttered with different objects, inviting viewers to guess which of them were real and which were added by Simulon. You can watch the demo attached above to see if you can guess correctly.
