Sea of Stars from Sabotage Studio launches next week, on August 29.
Canadian indie studio Sabotage shared a release trailer for their cozy turn-based RPG inspired by classic titles of the past. The latest video once again showcases the game's beautiful pixel art environments, demonstrates battles, presents characters, and shows what activities the title will include.
Sabotage decided to use the world crafted in their debut game, the platformer The Messenger, for their upcoming title, but this time they tell a story that happened thousands of years before The Messanger. The main story revolves around two Children of the Solstice who combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.

Among the team's sources of inspiration are classic RPGs like Chrono Trigger. The title will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch. In case you're using PS Plus Extra and Game Pass, the game will be available free of charge on the day of launch.
You can find the game's Steam page here. If you're looking for more retro aesthetics, you can have a look at Painted In Blood, a retro-style FPS with horror elements developed by Yuan Cui in Unreal Engine. Find details here.
