Todd Howard has recently joined a keynote session at Develop:Brighton event, where he talked about his career, the Bethesda team, previous projects, Starfield, and other future titles.
Howard discussed previous successes and challenges of Bethesda and talked about their legendary games. The host and Howard also talked about the upcoming Starfield. The developer shared more details on the changes that are coming to their game engine. "The overhaul on our engine is probably the largest we’ve ever had, maybe even larger than Morrowind to Oblivion", said Howard.
He hopes that people will be “as happy as they are with what’s on the screen". The team improved animation quality, rendering ability, AI responsiveness, and more. The manager also said that Starfield is being created as a singleplayer experience, and the main keys are NPC behavior and procedural generation.
