Here's how you make a fun grappling hook mechanic for your Unreal projects.
Back in January, a YouTuber Matt Aspland has released a great tutorial on creating a fun grappling hook in Unreal Engine 4. In this tutorial, the author explains the entire production process – from adding the 3D hook model to Unreal Engine to working with Unreal Blueprints to accomplish the task. The end result demonstrates that with this grappling hook, the player would shoot a grappling hook and fly over to where this landed. You can also hit the right mouse button at any time to cancel the movement along the grapple.
