"A big-name developer" is reportedly working on a Star Wars real-time strategy game.
A new Star Wars real-time strategy game is possibly in development. Although Respawn and Bit Reactor are currently working on a Star Wars strategy game, this new game is said to be a separate project and has yet to be officially announced.
The news was revealed by VGC’s Andy Robinson, who shared this information on Twitter. In response to a tweet from GamesRadar editor Josh West, Robinson said that a Star Wars real-time strategy game is currently in the works at "a big-name developer."
Initially, West assumed that Robinson was talking about the untitled Star Wars strategy game being produced by Respawn Entertainment and developed by the newly formed studio Bit Reactor. The game was announced by EA in January 2022, but no information has been revealed since.
However, Robinson clarified that he was referring to a different, unannounced game. The journalist did not disclose the name of the studio responsible for the project, however, he did hint that an announcement might be imminent, stating that fans "won't have to wait much longer" for the game.
