Valve has shared Steam Deck's early achievements saying that the device can now boast over 2000 games, support for anti-cheat systems and Xbox Cloud Gaming, as well as several technical improvements.
Valve has been shipping Steam Deck for just a little over a month now but the device has already gained great popularity among users. The company decided to share the early results of its portable PC revealing the success of Steam Deck in its first month of sales.
According to Valve, Steam Deck currently can boast over 2000 games that now have the status of "Deck Verified" or "Playable". Deck Verified are the projects that are launched on the device without any additional actions on the part of the user, while the Playable category includes titles that require little setup to run. The company shared that it keeps adding the games to the catalog saying that it is "listening carefully to customer feedback in this space" to provide users with the best options for the Deck Verified program.
Other achievements of Steam Deck's first month include bringing support for anti-cheat systems like BattlEye and Easy Anti-Cheat. Besides, Valve pointed out that now the users have access to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service which is available through the Microsoft Edge browser.
Since the launch, Steam Deck has also seen a number of technical improvements including an on-screen keyboard experience and the ability to reduce the framerate to 15 fps to optimize for battery life. The users can also now install Windows 10 and the devs promise that Windows 11 will be available soon.
There are still more enhancements to come in the future with Valve emphasizing that it keeps listening to users' feedback and encouraging customers to report issues to make the device even better.
