Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which initially had a release date of "2023", as mentioned on its Steam page, has now been officially delayed. According to a recent update from the publisher, Focus Entertainment, the release is now scheduled for the second half of 2024.
"Focus Entertainment will reveal the official launch date of the highly anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 – the iconic Games Workshop licence – in early December. The game is now poised to ship in the second half of 2024, to provide the time needed to properly polish the game and to ensure the best possible experience," reads the statement.
In addition, Focus Entertainment shared that "over a million" people have added Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to their wishlists, which is noteworthy when considering its position on the list of top wishlisted games on Steam.
On a positive note, Focus Entertainment said that fans can expect an announcement of the release date of the game in "early December." While the exact date of the announcement is not specified, it may coincide with The Game Awards 2023, scheduled for December 7.
