Earlier in January, former IGN editor Colin Moriarty said that Hogwarts Legacy might not come in 2022. "I’m hearing behind the scenes that game is not coming out this year, and that it’s in some sort of trouble." Considering the game hadn't been shown in some time and still doesn't have a release date, such claims don't seem far-fetched.
However, in his Twitter, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar, while talking about "delivering of a full slate of highly anticipated games," attached a picture of Hogwarts Legacy and Gotham Knights, which confirms that the studio is planning to release the games this year.
Hogwarts Legacy was announced in 2020 and set to be released in 2021, but the date was moved to 2022. Being developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it is an open-world, action role-playing video game set in the late 1800s in the Wizarding World.
