Xbox Is Reportedly Working on a Series S Toaster
If the information is legitimate, the Series S Toaster would be the latest addition to the Xbox merchandise line, which also includes the Xbox Series X mini fridge.
Since Microsoft's Xbox Series S and Series X were first revealed, the consoles have been likened to various everyday objects such as fridges, lunchboxes, speakers, and even toasters.
Microsoft has embraced these comparisons, using them for humor and even releasing an official Xbox Series X mini-fridge in 2021. But it seems that now the company has shifted its focus to a different household item, a bread cooker.
As spotted by VGC, images that allegedly depict an authorized Xbox Series S toaster have appeared on the net. According to Twitter user Gyo Jvfr, the household item is set to be priced at €60 and will include three different toasting modes.
French website Xbox Squad reports that the toaster will be launched this year and that the company plans to sell it directly with pre-orders currently available. The Series S toaster is reportedly just one item in a new lineup of licensed Xbox merchandise, which also includes Xbox Ramen Bowls, RGB mouse pads, storage containers, pen holders, and other products.
Should the rumors be confirmed, the Series S Toaster would be the latest addition to the Xbox merchandise line, which also includes the Xbox Series X Fridge released in 2021. The mini fridge, developed in collaboration with Ukonic, remains available at retail for around $100 and has a capacity of up to 12 beverage cans. The fridge features a USB port for charging devices and can operate on the go with a DC power adapter.
