Xsens Animate 2025 Is Now Available
This release includes a more accurate motion engine, separate male and female anatomy models, and improved UI.
Movella has introduced Xsens Animate 2025, the latest update to its motion capture software and engine that delivers realistic motion data for game and film production through cameraless technology and seamless integration with major 3D software platforms like Unreal Engine, Unity, and Maya.
This release's highlights include the debut of native male and female anatomy models for inertial motion capture and enhanced data accuracy, which empowers creators and producers to craft more lifelike animations. The most notable differences are shoulder width, hip width, and center of mass, all typical distinctions that help reduce cleanup time in post-production.
Additionally, the experimental Auto Sensor Mapping feature for the Awinda system allows motion capture professionals to begin recording performances more quickly, eliminating the need for exact sensor placement. The software automatically detects sensor positions and assigns them to the correct body parts.
Xsens Animate 2025 also features a revamped user interface, offering quicker access to key tools and introducing a new dark mode for a more comfortable experience.
