You Can Become an NPC in STALKER 2 via NFTs

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl developer GSC Game World revealed its plans to support the game via a range of linked NFTs when it launches in 2022. One specific NFT (there will be more) will offer the owner to become the "first-ever metahuman" in the game. 

The latest report by The Verge says GSC Game World plans to launch the STALKER Metaverse that will "use blockchain technology to let the community own a piece of STALKER 2."

The developer plans to create a number of NFTs linked to the game but there's one special allowing the owner to become an NPC within the game – GSC calls this NPC a "metahuman".

To launch its own metaverse, the developer teamed up with NFT marketplace DMarket. An auction for the NFT is said to take place in January 2022. What do you think about the idea? Will more developers start using this model in the future?
