Responsibilities:

 

  • Create high-quality character models under supervision
  • Sculpt high-poly character models, retopologize for in-game use, and texture using PBR principles
  • Integrate characters into the engine and ensure they function as intended
  • Collaborate with other artists and support the team where needed
  • Take initiative to continuously improve and expand your technical and artistic skillset

 

Requirements:

 

  • Solid understanding of human anatomy and form
  • Ability to sculpt detailed organic models
  • Proficient in ZBrush
  • Basic knowledge of retopology for game-ready assets
  • Foundational understanding of the texturing process using Substance Painter
  • Eagerness to learn and apply feedback in a production environment

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience of working in a AAA or AA Game Development studio, ideally with one (or more) project shipped
  • Experience with Marvelous Designer
  • Experience with card-based hair modeling
  • Basic understanding of shaders and material setup in real-time engines (e.g. Unreal or proprietary engines)
  • Awareness of rigging and skinning workflows and how they impact topology and deformation
  • Familiarity with game engines and asset integration pipelines
  • Knowledge of baking workflows and texture optimization
  • Interest in character design, costuming, or storytelling through visual design.
