3D Animator Showcases a Neat IK/FK Character Rig Made in UE5

Beatrice Schmidt's rigging experiments never cease to amaze.

Beatrice Schmidt, a Technical Artist and Animator specializing in Unreal-powered animation projects, continues the series with a robust full-body IK/FK character rig set up with Unreal Engine 5's Control Rig, a suite of animation tools to rig and animate models directly in-engine.

As per the author's description, the rig boasts a special IK/FK switch for smooth transitions between Inverse Kinematics and Forward Kinematics. Additionally, it includes Backward Solve logic alongside its Forward Solve capability, which enables animators to bake animations directly within the rig, allowing them to switch between IK/FK modes and maintain precise control over character movements directly within Unreal's Sequencer.
