3D Artist Showcases a Mind-Blowing Stencil-Texturing Technique in Blender

The best part is – there's a tutorial showing how you can build your own stencils.

Christine Choi, a 3D Character Artist specializing primarily in VTuber models, has recently blown the minds of thousands of people over on Twitter by showcasing her texturing technique that, as far as 3D art is concerned, is far from ordinary.

Working in Blender, Christine utilizes custom-made digital stencils to quickly and easily apply patterns to the exquisite garments of her characters. Like real stencils, these digital tools let her paint over a virtual sheet of material with the design already "cut out" in it, making it perfect for patterns that repeat multiple times.

The best part is – the artist also has a concise tutorial showing how you can create your own stencils using Blender and your preferred drawing software (Krita, in Christine's case):
