3D Robot Made of Scrap, Inspired by Wall-E & Fallout
Gal Ravid-Tal presented a cool little guy.
One man's rusted trash is another man's inspiration, as proven by 3D artist Gal Ravid-Tal, who created a fun little robot that will definitely remind you of Wall-E and Fallout.
Scrappy is a worn-out fellow with a cheery smile on its weathered face, made using Megascans' assets, Unreal Engine's "latest rigging tools, decals, and shader adjustment."
"Thanks to the additional Render Graph feature from UE 5.4 I was able to split my render into render layers like in a traditional VFX pipeline, allowing flexibility and finer control in the compositing stage, with all that I was able to push my creative vision even further and to get more experiments even after rendering stage."
This was an opportunity for Ravid-Tal to get more practice with UE's rigging tools, and the result is excellent.
