The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was ranked first, while The World Ends with You closed the list.
An IGN user, going by the name RuFiOoo, has recently published a comprehensive list of the 500 best video games of all time, determined using various ranking lists and mathematics, and discussed the methodology behind it.
To create the list, RuFiOoo collected and evaluated 80 historical "Best of All Time" lists that had been published in the past three decades. Each game's individual ranking was scored using a curve, with additional points given for higher tiers. Several factors, such as the game's frequency of appearance on various lists, its eligibility for inclusion, and the minimum amount of data available, were considered in the evaluation.
According to RuFiOoo's compilation, the title of the greatest game in the world goes to Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Following closely behind are Tetris and the original The Last of Us, securing the second and third positions, respectively. The list concludes with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Spacewar, Joust, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, and The World Ends with You.
It would take approximately 10,000 hours (equivalent to 416 days) to complete all the games featured on this comprehensive list, as per HowLongToBeat's assessment.
