505 Games now owns rights to cyberpunk ninja action game called Ghostrunner.
Originally, the company teamed up with Polish publisher All In Games to launch the game in October 2020. They now have full control of the IP, plus "all licenses for the technological solutions used in the game."
The rights are said to cost €5 million, and the studio behind the title will continue to receive a share of profits from ongoing sales.
All In CEO Piotr Żygadło noted 505 competed with his team to acquire the Ghostrunner IP before the launch but they were "unable to reach a mutually beneficial agreement at the time."
Ghostrunner managed to cover its €2.5 million production costs on launch day selling more than 500,000 copies by the end of 2020. The game's publisher expects sales to reach one million later this year. Next-gen versions of the game are expected to arrive by the end of 2021.
