7 Days to Die is Finally Out of Early Access After 11 Years

The game is available for PC and console, the latter is offered with a discount.

7 Days to Die, a zombie survival game developed by The Fun Pimps, has finally been released after over 11 years of being available exclusively in Early Access.

Initially, the game was published by The Fun Pimps back in December 2013. In April 2024, Richard Huenink, the Co-Founder of TFP, covered the company's plans concerning the game leaving early access. On July 25, 2024, the 1.0 version of the game has finally seen the light of day.

The game is a zombie survival sandbox that offers unique crafting and world-building mechanics, expanding on the best traits of the genre. The game enables players to enter an open world with procedural world generation and endless locations waiting for the wanderers to explore. 7 Days to Die also provides the fans with the opportunity to craft, mine, and develop their characters.

The newly launched release features "a wealth of new content, innovative new features, polish, transformative quality-of-life improvements, optimizations, and revolutionary gameplay systems", as per the description on the official game's website.

During its early access period, the game was highly acclaimed by fans, selling over 18 million copies and garnering more than 225,000 reviews on Steam, 88% of which were positive. According to the developers' Twitter account, the official launch has been incredibly successful, setting a new record for concurrent players on Steam.

The price for the new 1.0 version is $44.99 on all platforms. For console players, the developers offer a 25% discount that is available for 30 days after the launch. The old Telltale edition of 7 Days to Die game has been delisted on the PlayStation and Microsoft stores but if you already owned the product, you can play it.
