Seize the opportunity for the lowest discount before the price increases for the 1.0 launch.

The developers, The Fun Pimps, have announced that the zombie survival game 7 Days to Die is ready to transition from Early Access to version 1.0 with its upcoming update.

The game, which has sold over 16 million copies worldwide, is noted for its unique blend of first-person shooter, survival horror, tower defense, and RPG elements. Set in a zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic world, 7 Days to Die offers a rich mix of combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration, and character development.

In a video update that came along with the post, TFP Co-Founder Richard Huenink covered several aspects, including the decision to transition out of Early Access, release schedules for PC and Console Alpha 22 (now 1.0), and the planned roadmap for updates and new features across all platforms, as well as the game's new pricing.

As part of the transition to 1.0, the standard retail price for the game will increase to $44.99 on all platforms and storefronts from the launch date. However, a weeklong 'Last Chance' sale is currently taking place on Steam, running from today until April 29, offering one last opportunity to purchase the game at a reduced price. Existing owners of the game will not be affected by the price increase.

As for the game's old console version, upgrades will not be provided due to significant technical differences between the old and current console hardware. Legacy owners will need to purchase the new title. However, the developers are working with Sony and Microsoft to offer a discount to digital legacy owners for the new console edition.

Regarding the release date of 1.0, Richard said in the video:

"We're currently planning for an experimental release in late May and a stable 1.0 launch in June."
