80 Level Job Digest: Perfect Opportunities for Artists

Check out this week’s 80 Level Job Digest for top openings at Latent Technology, Supercell, IO Interactive, CD PROJEKT RED, Respawn Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Miniclip.

Technical Artist (Generalist) – Unity at Latent Technology

At Latent, we’re reinventing how games are made using cutting-edge AI. We’re building a new foundation for interactive movement based on real-time physical behaviors and AI – a system that could redefine how games are created and experienced. To get there, we’re tackling some of the most challenging and beautiful problems in game technology.

We’re looking for a versatile, London-based Technical Artist who can bring this technology to life visually and sensorially inside Unity. You have a broad creative and technical background: you know how to make a scene feel right – whether that means tuning shaders, lighting, and materials, integrating characters and props, connecting sounds to in-game events, or building small moments that showcase emergent gameplay. You’re as comfortable experimenting as you are polishing, and you are passionate about finding interesting ways to showcase technology.

Requirements:

  • Deep Unity experience (materials, shaders, VFX, lighting, post-processing, optimization).
  • Ability to create or modify assets in Blender, Maya, or Substance 3D.
  • Understanding of sound integration (Unity Audio, FMOD, Wwise, or equivalent).
  • A strong eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Curiosity, independence, and the ability to experiment across disciplines.
  • Self-driven/have a growth mindset: Ability to collaborate, but also take the lead and work independently when needed.

Senior 3D Character Artist at Supercell

As a Senior 3D Character Artist, you will be at the heart of our art production, working closely with our Art Director, Animators, and other artists in the team. Your main responsibility would be to create and oversee the 3D skin production for our brawlers together with our outsourcing partners. Due to the high amount of content for each update, your work would mainly consist of providing clear direction and feedback to our external teams.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in creating high-quality 3D characters, covering the entire process from modeling to implementation within an engine. All in all, we’re looking for a strong communicator who takes ownership, is passionate about our games, and is continuously striving for better performance.

What You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience as a 3D artist with a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of styles and projects.
  • Experience with stylized characters optimized for mobile performance
  • Experience in managing external studios or contractors
  • Must be a clear and concise communicator, able to deliver creative feedback and clear actionable guidance to others
  • Excellent proficiency in Maya, including technical knowledge
  • Passion for mobile games and a drive to create visually appealing content.
  • Experience with pipeline management and implementation

Senior Marketing Cinematic Artist at IO Interactive

IO Interactive is seeking a talented individual to join our team in a role that will support all of our studios and projects. Currently, we are working on two exciting game projects: Project 007, a brand-new James Bond video game featuring an entirely original Bond story, and Project Fantasy, an ambitious new IP for console and PC that will redefine the fantasy RPG genre.

Who you are:

  • Experienced in previz, cinematics, or video production within games or game engines.
  • Proven ability to create emotionally engaging sequences that combine storytelling, composition, and pacing.
  • Able to use (or learn) Maya to layout basic animations, with a strong eye for character performance and movement.
  • Skilled in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and familiar with Unreal, Unity, or similar engines.
  • A clear communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-discipline teams and provide constructive creative feedback.
  • Highly autonomous and adaptable, comfortable managing multiple stages of production independently.
  • Passionate about pushing creative and technical boundaries in game trailers and cinematics.
  • Curious and growth-minded, eager to refine your craft through ongoing learning and supported development opportunities at IOI.
  • Bonus skills in color grading, sound editing or mixing, visual effects, and photography are a strong plus.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the video games industry, including at least one shipped AAA title.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Lighting Artist, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
  • Deep knowledge of performance and optimization for real-time lighting.
  • Solid understanding of PBR concepts and real-time rendering techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a deep knowledge of core artistic principles such as color theory and composition, as well as the ability to convey emotion and tell stories through light.
