Technical Artist (Contract, Global) at LILA Games

We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Artist to join our team. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between art and engineering, ensuring that our games look visually stunning while maintaining optimal performance. You will work closely with the art and engineering teams to develop and implement tools, workflows, and pipelines that enhance the visual quality and efficiency of our game development process. 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of writing tools in Unity, Maya, and Blender.
  • Strong knowledge in building shaders and VFX in and for Unity using Shader Graph.
  • Good understanding of the technical implementation of customizable systems like character customization and weapon skins.
  • Experience in a full digital art content creation pipeline (high and low-poly modeling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, level art).
  • Experience in at least 3 mobile game titles as a Tech Artist
  • Ability to optimize art in engine, optimize art pipeline, and create tools to automate manual processes
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of HLSL 

Art Director at LILA Games

As Art Director, you’ll lead the visual direction of our games, ensuring a consistent and compelling art style that enhances gameplay. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage the art pipeline, and guide the art team to deliver high-quality assets. Additionally, you’ll mentor artists and drive key art decisions to bring the game’s vision to life. 

Requirements:

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience as an art director, senior concept artist, or lead artist on AAA console/PC projects (mobile game experience is a huge plus)
  • Ability to hold the vision of the game across multiple elements like Environment art, Characters, VFX, UI, Animation styles and Marketing art.
  • Strong understanding of game engines (Unreal/Unity), and proficiency with industry-standard creative tools (Maya, Photoshop, Substance, etc.).
  • Experience guiding concept artists to create visuals that enhance player experience and readability.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with game designers, ensuring art direction aligns with mechanics and level design.
  • Experience in creating or overseeing concept art for games, with a focus on functional, gameplay-driven design.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, color theory, lighting, and composition.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles and how art impacts gameplay.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to provide clear feedback and inspire creativity across teams.
  • Experience managing art production pipelines and delivery of high-quality assets.

Portfolio:

  • A portfolio showcasing your artistic vision, leadership ability, and experience in maintaining consistency and quality across large-scale projects. 

Junior Technical Artist at Techland

You will work closely with the art and programming departments to create optimized, high-quality visual assets and tools. Depending on your specialization and experience, you will create specialized tools for Artists and Level Designers, develop shaders and materials mainly for Environment/Character Artists and UI Designers, contribute to environmental look development and full-screen effects, enhance the rendering pipeline from the visual side, and work on special effects and assets using tools like Houdini.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of previous relevant experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in 3D software such as: Maya, 3ds Max or Blender

Who you are:

  • You have proven experience as a VFX Artist in the gaming industry with first-hand knowledge working on more stylized FX.
  • Great communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong technical and artistic skillset, good understanding of animation principles, and a passion for building expressive stylized effects shaders.

Requirements:

  • Native level Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1 required)
  • Experience in creating concept art.
  • Experience in creating concept art using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • New graduates are not required to meet the above qualification(s).

Senior Character Artist at CD Projekt Red

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced Senior Character Artist to work on The Witcher 4, the first game in the new saga. As a Senior Character Artist, you will contribute to an immersive player experience by creating memorable characters of the Witcher universe.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in games production.
    focused on the character art area.
  • Expertise in organic: sculpting, modelling and simulating,
    with a solid understanding of anatomy, functionality and aesthetic.
  • Outstanding 3D modelling skills across low-poly, mid-poly, and high-poly workflows, with strong proficiency in UV mapping, baking, and texturing.
  • High proficiency in Modelling (Blender/Maya), Sculpting (ZBrush).
  • Simulating (Marvelous Designer) and Texturing (Substance 3D Painter) tools.
  • Ability to learn new tools and pipelines quickly and effectively.
  • High ability to interpret detailed concepts into compelling characters and objects.
  • Good background in traditional art skills, understanding fundamentals like proportion, scale, value, colour theory, materials and the ability to communicate them visually.
  • Knowledge about garment designs across various eras and genres.
  • Team player approach, taking direction, and reacting to stakeholder feedback.
