A 42-Minute Video on Metal Gear Solid's Cut Content Voiced by David Hayter

DidYouKnowGaming? has released a new 42-minute video devoted to the cut content in the Metal Gear Solid series. The video was voiced by David Hayter, the English voice of Solid Snake and Naked Snake in the Metal Gear series.

The YouTube channel DidYouKnowGaming? has released a new video devoted to the development of Metal Gear Solid and the cut content in the games of the series. The video was voiced by screenwriter and actor David Hayter, best known for providing the English voice for Solid Snake and Naked Snake in the Metal Gear series.

The authors of the channel noted that they spent "hundreds of hours" on the creation of the video studying "thousands of magazines from all over the world" searching for old interviews and archived footage as well as looking through a number of Hideo Kojima tweets and watching documentaries about the creation of Metal Gear Solid.

The video lasts for 42 minutes and, among other things, explains how the physical format influenced the missions in the games, reveals Kojima's initial plans for the titles and technologies he wanted to implement in them as well as talks about the difference between the Japanese version and the European versions of the games.

The video is largely devoted to the original trilogy, but at the very end, the authors also reveal what inspired Hideo Kojima when creating a prequel to the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
