A Closer Look At Human Character In Enemies, Unity's Tech Demo
Check out Plamen Tamnev's work and watch Unity's in-depth breakdown.
A few years ago, Unity released Enemies, a tech demo showcasing the engine's ability to deliver high-end visuals in 2022, written and directed by Veselin Efremov. At the time, we spoke with the team about the project, but now Plamen Tamnev, who was responsible for most of the art, has shared additional materials revealing how the female character was created.
"For this project, I was in the role of Art Director and also had the opportunity to work on most of the assets, including the character and environment. One of the main goals of the project was to improve the real-time digital humans in Unity, and the tech related to their creation, including skin shading, eye shading, actor performance, and a real-time hair simulation system for Unity that was released along with the project," said the artist.
