A Cool Peeling Mechanic for VR

VR Engineer Daniel Beauchamp has built yet another amazing VR mechanic in Unity.

Daniel Beauchamp, an AR/VR Engineer known for the stunning VR experiments, has unveiled yet another cool mechanic that can be used by VR apps. This time, the author has managed to set up a cool peeling mechanic and demonstrated how it works by peeling a digital potato. According to the author, this project is a custom experience made in Unity. Here's one more, a little bit less common way to peel the potato, shown by Daniel:

This mechanic looks somewhat similar to the one Daniel demonstrated back in June 2021. Back then, the author showed a cool mechanic that allows you to manipulate a piece of wood in VR, thus giving you the ability to make a wooden spear, add carvings to a stick, etc. You can learn more about this mechanic here.

Here are some more of Daniel's works:

We highly encourage you to visit Daniel's Twitter account to learn more about these VR mechanics and how they work.
