A Cool Setup For Transforming Meshes Into Stone Structures

Powered by tyFlow, the system features different variations of stone assembly types and a spawning system.

Have a look at this impressive setup, showcased over the weekend by 3D Environment Artist and CG Generalist Angelo Teixeira, that lets the user quickly and easily transform meshes into realistic-looking stone structures.

Created in 3ds Max using tyFlow, a popular particle simulation plug-in designed to act as a replacement for the software's built-in Particle Flow system, the system features different variations of stone assembly types, along with a dedicated spawning system, as showcased in Angelo's demo. According to the artist, he aims to keep exploring the setup's possibilities by "testing other spawning systems and pushing the stone variations further," although he hasn't clarified whether the system will be commercially available once finished.
