Creating Stylized Facial Rigs for Production in Maya, the 4-hour workshop by Hector Abraham Torres has been released by The Gnomon Workshop.

The video guide is dedicated to creating facial expressions for movie, TV, video game, and VR characters. It includes 12 lessons in total and covers the ABCs of character rigging in Maya, starting from the tutorial on rigging basics and covering the entire anatomy of the human face.

As The Gnomon Workshop emphasizes, high-quality facial rigging is one of the most sought-after talents in the industry. Creating believable, unique, charismatic characters requires impeccable artistic and technical skills. In this tutorial series, Hector explains how to create a Facial User Interface and adjust the controls to elevate your work to an entirely new level.

Hector Abraham Torres talks about using different face sculpting techniques, creating facial deformations, and testing facial expressions in Maya. The UI he demonstrates in the tutorial is downloadable to make learning easier.
