CG Cookie Introduces a Course on Procedural Modeling & Animation with Blender's Geometry Nodes

During the course, you will learn the basics of Geometry Nodes and create a few node groups that you can reuse in any project.

CG Cookie has introduced Assemble, a new Blender course on procedural modeling and animation with Blender's Geometry Nodes.

The course is designed for intermediate-level users and focuses on the practical use case for Geometry Nodes, specifically on piecing together modular assets to create models with adjustable and animatable properties. At the same time, the concepts and techniques taught in the course can be applied to a wide range of projects utilizing Geometry Nodes.

Geometry Nodes is a relatively new feature in Blender and can be challenging to master, however, the course is designed to guide users through the learning curve.

Assemble is led by instructor Jonathan Lampel who will provide step-by-step instruction and demonstrations. During the course, you will learn the basics of Geometry Nodes, create a few node groups that you can reuse in any project, and work on a final project – a roller coaster track that’s generated along a custom curve and a cart that reliably moves along the track at any speed.
