A Cozy Farming Game Where You Have To Heal The Island With Harmony

If you enjoy cozy, relaxing, visually appealing farming games similar to the Animal Crossing series, where you don't have to worry about leveling up and completing a storyline that much, Sugardew Island might be the one for you.

The premise of the game is equally calming – building up and decorating a deserted island from scratch, taking care of your farm, and bonding with animals. You spend the majority of your time farming crops and selling them, but there is plenty to explore in the game, including building relationships with the forest folk and fulfilling requests from the Harmony Tree to heal the island.

The protagonist's journey begins after waking up on a deserted island humans have long ruined in an attempt to chop down the local magical Harmony Tree, which forced Sugardew Island's folk and animals to abandon this place. Now, the player takes the role of someone with the task of restoring the lost balance and curing the island.

• Farming: Take care of your plants, make fertilizer, and sell your farm produce
• Your farm shop: Sell items in your shop and negotiate with the Forest Folk for prices
• Resource Gathering: Collect wood, stones, and weeds for farm improvements
• Animals: Feed, interact & build bonds with animals for eggs and milk
• Pet Companions: Give names to pets, interact with them, and let them follow you around the island
• Harmony Tree Quests: Fulfill orders to heal the Harmony Tree and upgrade the small island
• Trader Brownie: Purchase seeds, animals, and more from the friendly trader
• Upgrade System: Improve your house, barn, and tools to enhance efficiency.

The recently unveiled crowdfunding campaign for Sugardew Island has already reached its goal, but you can still back the game and wishlist it on Steam. Sugardew Island is set to release on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5.

There's no official launch date yet, but the developers are aiming for the second quarter of 2024, which means somewhere between April and June.
