A Detailed Facial Rig Set Up in Maya

The rig was made by Glauco Longhi.

Glauco Longhi, a well-known Character Artist and Art Director at Striking Distance Studios, has recently revisited one of his earlier projects, sharing a new ArtStation post dedicated to a detailed facial rig made all the way back in 2021.

Created with 3D Scan Store's materials and Maya, the rig looks incredibly complex, boasting the ability to change the character's eyebrows, eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth, and several other parts of the face. According to the creator, the project was made "in the spirit of continuous learning", with the goal being to create a fully-functioning rig from scratch.
