A Fishing Simulator With Lovecraftian Vibes Where Fish Can Eat You

Fish love me, irradiated mutants lurking in the depths fear me.

Check out Dreadmoor, a newly-revealed first-person adventure from indie studio Dream Dock that blends Lovecraftian horror with fishing, exploration, crafting, inventory management, and intense monster encounters.

Dream Dock

Inspired by the 2023 hit Dredge, the game takes place in the Submerged Land, a post-apocalyptic world of sunken islands and the ruins of a lost civilization. You play as a fisherman operating a trawler, tasked with catching fish, selling your haul to survivors, upgrading your ship, crafting equipment, and managing your inventory.

The task becomes even more interesting when you consider that the waters you're fishing in resemble something out of Chernobyl or Fukushima – so be prepared to fight off mutated creatures, and keep your Geiger counter by your side to watch out for radiation.

Dream Dock

In Dreadmoor, there are over 100 species of dangerous and rare prey, and to catch 'em all, you'll need to search for the best fishing spots, experiment with baits, and compete with nature itself, as sea creatures won't hesitate to devour not only you, but each other as well. The deeper and more dangerous the creature, the higher the price offered by mysterious traders, who themselves look like your typical Innsmouth inhabitants.

At the moment, the game doesn't have an official release date, you can learn more and wishlist Dreadmoor on Steam.
