A Great Snow Tool Made in Houdini for Unreal Engine 5
It's created by Ian Smith for the Emperor's Corridor project.
Check out this cool snow tool created by CG Supervisor Ian Smith in Houdini. It was made for the artist's Emperor's Corridor project.
For Emperor's Corridor, Ian Smith used Substance 3D Designer and Painter, ZBrush, and Unreal Engine 5. The artist aimed to create a scene with strong composition and lighting. The high poly assets were sculpted in ZBrush and Houdini was used to displace and generate detailed meshes and create optimized low poly assets. Smith also used Substance 3D Painter for baking and Substance 3D Designer to create rock and snow materials.
He also made two Houdini tools to create the landscape and generate snow on top of objects. Foliage and trees were taken from Unreal Eninge Marketplace and Quixel Megascans.
