The developers plan to further tweak and improve the mechanic before the game's release.
Game Developer Filip Coulianos has recently shared a new demo showcasing a marvelous, albeit a bit eerie, solar flare effect/mechanic created for Hyperspace, an upcoming first-person co-op PvE game being developed by Keepsake Games, a Sweden-based development studio consisting of ex-devs from Hazelight, Coffee Stain, and Mojang.
Powered by Unity, the game's solar flares envelop the spaceship you and your friends will be a crew of with an incredible-looking rain of flames, violently shaking it, causing its equipment to malfunction, and quickly killing the player if they were to exit the spacecraft. According to the developers, the mechanic is currently WiP and will be further tweaked and improved before the game is officially released.
