A Guide to Volumetric Clouds in UNIGINE

Learn how you can create volumetric clouds for large-scale outdoor scenes.

The UNIGINE team has recently shared a video tutorial on how users can tweak volumetric clouds for large-scale outdoor environments. The in-depth guide covers working with presets, tweaking settings, using dynamic scenarios, and more.

The team notes that UNIGINE 3D volumetric multilayer cloud system was designed especially for enterprise flight simulators and meets the strict requirements applicable to them. The engine makes sure that lighting and shadows are calculated according to sophisticated physical models. The engine also comes with multiple performance optimizations for real-life hardware for a smooth real-time experience even when combined with complex scenes.
