A Marvelous Ice & Snow Simulation Created in Unreal Engine 5

The artist has used Lumen and Nanite to reach the goal.

3D Environment and Lighting Artist, known as B.O.W., has revealed an absolutely marvelous project that can only be described as one of the best snow and ice simulations you have ever seen. The artist has managed to set up customizable snow and ice that can easily be tweaked and changed in just a few clicks. According to the video demonstration attached above, the artist can change the size and move the snowbanks, add icy surfaces on water, make snow dissolve in water, and more.

To create such a magnificent simulation, the artist has used Unreal Engine 5's Nanite and Lumen. The shape of the snow, comments the artist, is all achieved through Nanite. Lumen has allowed the author to make various lighting environments with different moods.
