A Mesmerizing Sheep-Herding Simulation Made with Unity

The simulation was created by Solo Developer Ben Throop.

Game Developer Ben Throop has demonstrated a stunning project, created with the goal of making something beautiful. Take a look at this sheep-herding simulation, an absolutely mesmerizing project created using Unity. Ben commented that this is only the first tweet regarding this simulation, meaning we will definitely see more of it in the near future.

According to Ben, the field was created using Unity Terrain. The absolutely massive 500+ flock was made with a variation of Boids, an artificial life program, developed by Craig Reynolds in 1986, which simulates the flocking behavior of birds, but with a lot of modifications for collision, fleeing, avoidance, physics, etc.

In the future, Ben promises to share more progress and bugs related to this project, so we highly encourage you to visit Ben's Twitter account if you want to learn more about Unity.
