Miki3d's Fluid Painter plug-in has been upgraded, adding several new settings to the Drop System.
Developer and 3D Artist known as Miki3d has released Fluid Painter 1.2.20, a new and improved version of a great add-on for Blender that lets you quickly and easily paint realistic fluids on 3D surfaces using Curves.
This latest update enhances the plug-in's Drop System by introducing several settings, enabling users to hide the underlying fluid while displaying only the drops. Furthermore, for those working with multiple splines per curve, this version offers the ability to create non-repetitive loops using newly incorporated randomization settings for movement and speed.
For those unaware, Fluid Painter is a Blender tool that employs Geometry Nodes to make it easy to paint static fluids onto any 3D surface using Curves. With basic and advanced parameters, you can create custom fluids to match your specific needs, simply by adding and drawing from the included presets to quickly produce stunning fluid effects.
Features:
- 30+ Presets: Using the included presets library compatible with both Eevee and Cycles, you can add fluids to your scene in seconds.
- Drop System: Fluid Painter features an intuitive drop system that creates a drop at the end of each shape of the fluid curve. You can adjust the size, length, and curvature of the drops and move them along the splines to create a flow effect.
- Scattering Objects: The tool also includes two layers of spheres or cylinders that can be added inside or over the surface of the fluid, to simulate for example air bubbles or sugary, adding even more realism to your scene.
- Make your own fluid: Build your fluid from scratch using the included default presets.
