Paradox Interactive has unveiled FOUNDRY, a new building sandbox set in a procedurally-generated voxel world.
Publisher Paradox Interactive has officially unveiled FOUNDRY, a brand-new first-person factory-building and automation simulator set in an infinite procedurally-generated voxel world.
Developed by Channel 3 Entertainment, the game will challenge players to mine resources, craft machinery, confront logistical hurdles, and automate research to progress through the game. According to the developers, the primary aim of FOUNDRY is to expand your factory by constructing additional production lines, conveyor belts, and pipelines, all while delving into increasingly complex and faster technology to optimize your factory's design and maximize its output.

"Every new game starts with a different procedurally generated voxel world," comments the team on FOUNDRY's game world. "Each block can be destroyed and new blocks (terrain or buildings) can be placed to shape the worlds to fit your desires. Build your sprawling factory on a mountain, in the jungle, or inside the deepest mine – everything is possible!"

Moreover, FOUNDRY allows for both solo and co-op gameplay with friends. The multiplayer feature functions across the Internet and through LAN networking in offline mode. According to the development team, there are currently no restrictions on the number of players for multiplayer, but the game is ideally suited for 2-4 players.
